Do you want to feel more confident about your farming future?

Hello, I’m Jo Martin and I specialise in helping farming families adapt and flourish during these challenging times.

I provide a confidential ear to listen and understand what you want from life and help you formulate a plan to work towards attaining your dream. I know how complicated farming families are, I’m in one too!

Having been brought up on a farm in Cheshire, I married into one in County Durham. Our boys are now 23 and 20 and we run our own mixed farming business. My husband Peter also works alongside his dad.

My parents stopped farming after foot & mouth and transformed the main brick barn into a farm shop, tea room and bed & breakfast.

Whilst bringing up our boys (which felt like being a single-parent family during busy times and incredibly lonely) I held down various part-time jobs including County Organiser for Durham Young Farmers’ Clubs and sold homemade cakes for a few years. I couldn’t find anyone to help me grow this business which is why I am passionate about helping you.

I graduated with a first-class marketing degree in 2017 and a post-graduate diploma in tourism and events last year.

So, a mixed bag of knowledge and experience that I’m happy to share when relevant.  If you want to know more about me, follow my story.

Free coaching? What’s the catch?

I’m not a qualified coach and I want to ensure that what I’m offering is relevant to you. So as this is a new service, in return, I want your feedback, warts and all 🙏
