About

I’m Jo Martin. I’ve created a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting rural business owners across the UK.

Jo Martin founder of Rural Business Network. Helping farming families move forward.

I’m also mum to 2 grown-up sons and recently separated from my husband of 26 years. I filed for divorce in April. I’ve had what some would call a ‘portfolio career’ while bringing up the boys and working in our farming partnership. I gained a first-class marketing degree in 2017 at the age of 44. In 2019 I finally found the confidence to create Rural Business Network which has seen several iterations since.

I dipped my toe into coaching last year and got such a buzz seeing how those I worked with grew in confidence. I love encouraging others out of their comfort zone to take action to develop their businesses and find a better work-life balance.

If you would like my support, message me via the chat function and I’ll get back in touch as soon as I can. I’m looking forward to meeting you.

Jo has given me that extra bit of pressure to get things done and has also given me some really useful information to keep me pointing in the right direction.
