This is the Rural Business Network update published on 6th April 2021.
Hello, I hope you managed to have a good Easter weekend 🐣
How quickly does time fly? I can’t believe it was a year ago that Rural Business Network open for membership! I am delighted with the press coverage of our 1st anniversary so far, we’ve been in the Northern Farmer and the Darlington & Stockton Times 🙌
We now have more than 60 members from up and down the UK, ranging from farmers and food and drink producers to agricultural accountants and holiday park owners. Rural Business Network members are awesome and I’m so grateful for their continued support.
Farm and farm-based business membership is £5+VAT per month which gives you access to member-only events, our Facebook group, a weekly e-Newsletter with useful information and me to support and signpost you.
There are 3 events coming up over the next couple of weeks: this Thursday, 8th April we The 2020 British Farming Awards Diversification Innovator of the Year winner, Andrew Jones, together with daughters Gemma and Larissa, will explain how they have gone from milking cows to running a bespoke glamping business Rakery Retreat.
To be inspired by the challenges the family has overcome and to hear about how they use influencers in their marketing, join Rural Business Network now.
We have 2 lunch-time events coming up which are open to non-members.
Farm Diversification – understanding the lay of the land is on Thursday 15th April. Joanne Milne and Richard Marshall of Hay & Kilner LLP will discuss some of the legal issues around farm diversification.
